Die Erdbeben- und Tsunamikatastrophe in Japan, das Erdbeben in Neuseeland und die Überschwemmungen in Thailand haben das Jahr 2011 für die Versicherer zum zweitteuersten der Geschichte gemacht. Die Höhe der versicherten Schäden lag mit 108 Milliarden Dollar mehr als doppelt so hoch wie im Vorjahr.
