Yapps (Yet Another Python Parser System) is an easy to use parser generator that is written in Python and generates Python code. There are several parser generator systems already available for Python, including PyLR, kjParsing, PyBison, and mcf.pars, but I had different goals for my parser. Yapps is simple, is easy to use, and produces human-readable parsers. It is not fast, powerful, or particularly flexible. Yapps is designed to be used when regular expressions are not enough and other parser systems are too much: situations where you may write your own recursive descent parser.

CSpace provides a platform for secure, decentralized, user-to-user communication over the internet. The driving idea behind the CSpace platform is to provide a connect(user, service) primitive, similar to the sockets API connect(ip,port). Applications built on top of CSpace can simply invoke connect(user, service) to establish a connection. The CSpace platform will take care of locating the user and creating a secure, nat/firewall friendly connection.
atropine is a screen-scraping library built on top of BeautifulSoup, which helps programmers make assertions about document structure while getting at the data they are interested in.
The Boost Graph Library Python bindings (which we refer to as "BGL-Python") expose the functionality of the Boost Graph Library and Parallel Boost Graph Library as a Python package, allowing one to perform computation-intensive tasks on graphs (or network
Today we'll be writing a simple todo list application. My goal is not to show you the finer points of todo lists, but rather to show you how to properly set up a webpy project for small to medium sized applications.
So, a while ago, I’ve decided to code a library to plot some information I had. The idea was to create simple graphics in a way they would be easy to create, beautiful and good to present to people with no or few backgrounds on math and computers.
. The data wasn’t increasing so there must have been some memory leak.
It’s not so easy for a Python application to leak memory. Usually there are three scenarios:
1. some low level C library is leaking
2. your Python code have global lists or dicts that grow over time, and you forgot to remove the objects after use
3. there are some reference cycles in your app
MATLAB® and NumPy/SciPy have a lot in common. But there are many differences. NumPy and SciPy were created to do numerical and scientific computing in the most natural way with Python, not to be MATLAB® clones. This page is intended to be a place to collect wisdom about the differences, mostly for the purpose of helping proficient MATLAB® users become proficient NumPy and SciPy users. NumPyProConPage is another page for curious people who are thinking of adopting Python with NumPy and SciPy instead of MATLAB® and want to see a list of pros and cons.
Cython is a language that makes writing C extensions for the Python language as easy as Python itself. Cython is based on the well-known Pyrex, but supports more cutting edge functionality and optimizations.
PyFacebook is currently best-tested with Django, and if you are just starting out with Python web development, the author highly recommends this combination :-). If you'd rather use another framework, there are also Pylons and other WSGI helpers in PyFacebook as well.
In this DigitalOcean article, we'll begin with expanding our knowledge on the excellent Gunicorn WSGI HTTP Server and continue with deploying Python WSGI web applications built atop various popular frameworks.
