The Open Text Mining Interface (OTMI) is an initiative from Nature Publishing Group (NPG). It aims to enable scholarly publishers, among others, to disclose their full text for indexing and text-mining purposes but without giving it away in a form that is readily human-readable. It provides for a range of structured disclosure options, from word vectors (lists of word occurrences with frequency counts) and the presentation of text 'snippets' out of narrative order, to the presentation of full text in 'raw' or 'reduced' form. ##date: Fri Nov 30 09:32:22 PST 2007 ##editor: Jim Pitman ##
EUREKA is a freely-editable source of information on scientific journals, starting with mathematics. It aims to be a central resource for understanding the journal system, and a catalyst for change — change away from the current system of corporate-run journal monopolies, towards an open-access system run by the scholars themselves. ##date: Thu Aug 30 11:59:25 PDT 2007 ##editor: Jim Pitman ##
