FRANKFURT. Polinnen kümmern sich um pflegebedürftige Menschen in Deutschland, in Polen machen das Ukrainerinnen; um die zurückgelassenen schulpflichtigen Kinder sorgen sich Omas und andere weiblich Familienangehörige. Die Forscher sprechen von „Care Chain“, einer Pflegekette, die soziale Ungleichheit im globalen Maßstab fortschreibt. Die Frankfurter Gender-Forscherin Prof. Helma Lutz untersucht mit ihrem Team, wie es diese Migrantinnen, die zwischen ihren Familien und ihren Arbeitsorten häufig hin- und herpendeln, gelingt, die Versorgungslücken in ihren Familien schließen.
Der Name Frauke stammt aus dem Niederdeutschen und bedeutet so viel wie „kleine Frau“ oder „Frauchen“. Im Forschungsinstitut SO.CON der Hochschule Niederrhein stand der Name „FrauKE“ in den vergangenen 13 Monaten dagegen für ein zukunftsgewandtes Frauenbild, nämlich für das Projekt „Frauen. Karrieren. Entwickeln.“, das sich den Karrierepotentialen von Frauen im Gesundheits- und Sozialwesen widmete. Drei Wissenschaftlerinnen untersuchten die Aufstiegschancen von Frauen in Pflegeberufen, medizinischen Berufen und sozialen Berufen. Heute stellten sie ihre Ergebnisse im Rahmen der Veranstaltung „Karrierepotenziale von Frauen im Gesundheits- und Sozialwesen“ vor.
